«gaΣtronoμία@Bruxelles»: Greek gastronomy travels to Brussels!

If you happen to be in Brussels between March 29 and May 2 2013, you can savour Greek-Belgian gastronomic co-creations as part of the action “gaΣtronoμία@Bruxelles”, a project of cooperation between the Greek National Tourism Organisation’s office in Belgium and the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises.

The action is part of the successful initiative “Brusselicious” of the Tourism Organisation of Brussels and aims at promoting the Greek gastronomy in Belgium, as well as at introducing the Greek menu into famous restaurants in Brussels.

Starting by trading gastronomic experiences between Greece and Brussels, various restaurants in Brussels welcome the chefs of 10 hotels in Greece in order to highlight the Greek cuisine with suggestions from the following tourist destinations: Heraklion, Peloponnese, Chania, Athens, Rhodes, Corfu, Volos, Thessaloniki and Zakynthos.

In each restaurant the Greek chefs are creating a Greek-Belgian menu in collaboration with their Belgian fellows. Inspired by Greek products easily found on the Belgian market and elaborated by the two chefs, the Greek menu will be unique by restaurant, thus multiplying the choices of the customers.

The «gaΣtronoμία@Bruxelles» initiative is about promoting a different side of Greece, featuring the high gastronomic level of the country. There will also be a prize of a five-day trip to Greece on the lottery for the customers of the participating restaurants.
